Don’t waste your vote

By nota

Taken from the Facebook group Don’t Waste Your Vote..Spoil It!!

Encouraging people to make sure they get their voice heard in the forthcoming General Election, even if they do not have any will to vote for any of the main political parties.

If you have no idea who to vote for and can’t see past the obvious similarities in the parties, then spoil your vote!!!

This is the only way for us to convey our grievance at how the current political system is run, and how pissed off we are at how our country is being run.

We can make this change and make the entire political system ”wake up” and realise that we as a people are not going to take this bollocks any longer!!

Spoiled votes are counted in every constituency. Imagine the uproar across the country if the amount of spoiled votes exceeded the amount that the winning M.P. received!!!!
You can spoil your vote in a number of ways.
1: Put a giant cross all the way through the ballot paper.
2: Ripping up the ballot paper and then placing it in the ballot box.
In fact anything other than putting a single cross next to a candidates name will see it spoiled.

The most important thing for us to do, is to make sure we turn up on election day.

Sitting at home and not bothering plays into the hands of those who are in control, as it assumes that WE DON’T CARE WHO IS ELECTED!!

Most of us really do care about some aspects of politics, whether it be how much council tax we have to pay, how long we have to wait for an appointment at a hospital or how much tax we pay amongst other things.

These issues are affected by politics and at the moment the system is letting us down to the point where voter apathy is at it’s highest point.
The message of this group is simple : IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO VOTE FOR ANY CANDIDATE OR PARTY STANDING AT THE ELECTION, THEN SHOW YOUR ANGER BY SPOILING YOUR VOTE!!!!

You don’t even need to go out of your way on election day to spoil your vote – register for a postal vote. When the forms come through – register, send it back and they will send your ballot paper in the post. You spoil it and post it back – less effort.
