If you are going to vote

By nota

If you are going to vote, don’t forget to register by April 20. Here’s the website.

Polling cards are sent out, although you don’t have to present it in order to vote. If you want to vote by post or proxy, go to your local authority in person.

EU citizens resident in the UK can vote in the local elections but not the general election.

Over 90% of eligible voters were registered in 2005, says the Electoral Commission, but turnout was 61.4%.
